What does membership cover?Basic club membership allows fishing on any of our waters from an hour before sunrise until an hour after sunset from 1st January until 31st December. The exception to this is at our Knotford and Kirklees Lagoon fisheries, where during 1st April - 30th September inclusive, non-night permit holders are restricted to 6am til 9pm.

Can I get a day ticket?Non-members can fish Harold Park or Chellow Dene by purchasing a day ticket from our online shop or Eccleshill Angling Supplies. Members can purchase a privilege ticket to take a non-member guest fishing for the day on any of our waters, except Queen Mary's Ponds or Knotford.

Do I need to book before fishing?Members don't need to book a place before fishing our waters, with the exception of Queen Mary's Ponds. Due to this lake being on MoD land you must book a permit before visiting the site, which can be done online.

Can I fish immediately once I join online?Yes, once you join online you can fish straight away using the receipt as proof of purchase. Please be aware that a key is required for entry to Knotford, Kirkless Lagoon, Black Heath Lake at Ripon and Raskelf.

How many rods can I use?Basic membership covers the use of one rod at a time only, but a 2nd rod permit can be purchased to allow an extra rod on all waters, or a 3rd rod permit for up to 3 rods on Knotford or Kirklees Lagoon.

Can I night fish?Night fishing is allowed at Knotford and Kirklees Lagoon by way of an annual night permit. These are limited to 100 permits per year with a waiting list currently in place. To join the waiting list, please complete the form found only in your yearbook. Night fishing is also permitted on the River Swale at Maunby. This must be booked with the Assistant Secretary in advance. An extended hours permit is also available to allow fishing until 11.30pm from June 16th to Oct 31st and 10pm from Nov 1st to 14th March at the following venues: - River Swale, Thornton Bridge - River Swale, Asenby - River Swale, Gatenby - River Swale, Maunby - River Calder, Gravel Pits - River Calder, Bream Fields - River Calder, Cooper Bridge - River Nidd, Cowthorpe
